New toilet for cats.

A new volunteer has joined us at the center,
she’s a U.S. trained veterinarian that specializes in cats.
While here on vacation,
she’s offered many suggestions on how to improve the cat room.
We’ve had a lot of questions for her, too!

She came up with a plan to fix the "smelly toilet" that we've had such a problem with.
She spent her own time and money to help us
and we can't thank her enough.

Now, the cat room has two large litter boxes.
I saw Simba, our three-legged cat, using them.
He was so happy, he almost stirred up a sandstorm!

Sucie and Susan's update

Here are some photos of Sucie. She is living with foster mom now.

Sucie's foster mom says that she couldn't believe that Sucie and Susan were born on the same day. Sucie is much bigger than Susan.

Susan now is staying at rescue center. She's got all her shots and is ready for adoption. She is still very playful. She likes to invite other dogs to play with her. NiuNiu likes Susan a lot. Today, Joey was giving Susan a nail cut for the first time.

Maggie's up date~

This is the up date from Maggie's mom !!!

She's doing really well, learning to sit, come and lie down. She doesn't always come, and mostly only comes to me rather than other people, but I'm sure she will start to trust more people over time. She has started playing now when we take her up on the roof, and loves the river outside our house. It's been great to watch her get more confident and happy.

XiaoLu's and his family

小魯實在是讓人超眼紅的啦~
牠的新家在花蓮
獨棟的建築
有很大的前後院
It really makes others feel so envious of such a wonderful home like XiaoLu’s.
He is living in Hualian, and even has a nice garden.

主人是來自英國
但在台灣也算是新住民了
主人之前在他原本的國家有二隻米格魯
也都是壽終正寢
XiaoLu’s papa had 2 beagle. They passed away because of old age. ( not sick.)

他們這一次決定要在台灣養狗是因為決定在花蓮買房子
主人第一次與小魯見面時就非常喜歡牠
儘管小魯有那麼一小點點的不完美跛著腳
當他們看著小魯時那種眼睛會發亮的感覺
我們相信這一次小魯是真的找到歸宿了　！
They made a decision to have dogs, because they love dogs and they know they have the right environment for them. Even though they found XiaoLu's imperfection, we still saw the sparkle in their eyes and we believe that XiaoLu found his real love this time.

Steinly

Steinly is a dog from Peitou. He has Dirofilariasis (heart worm). He also has a big, swollen belly and one eye looks like it has a Cataract. He was found lying on the side of the road, too weak to stand up. After medical treatment, he is doing much better and is recovering at the center. He will need medication for at least another two months.

XiaoHei 小黑

右前腳帶人打到骨折，醫生幫他裝了一個釘子在裡面。
紅框框裡的腳明顯比左邊腫很多...

Being bitten by a human may have been the cause of the serious fracture to his right front leg. The vet put a metal rod inside his leg, which will help with recovery, and six months later the metal can be removed. He is now staying at rescue center for special care.

可能小時候套在脖子上的布繩，然後也許她後來走失了還是被棄養，
沒有人幫他解下來，所以慢慢陷進肉裡，通報的人士說有見血。
She was injured by the fabric collar on her neck, which may have been put on her when she was very young. The collar slowly started cutting into her flesh as she was growing.

抱歉她還很有戒心，無法拍到傷口的地方。
She is staying at the center for special care.

Wendy was reported as being injured by a trap, which cut off her paw at the wrist. She was in so much pain that she hid from people, making it difficult for anybody to find her.
After her surgery, she is staying at the rescue center for special care.

Koala

Koala

A one and a half month old puppy was crying in the alley in Tienmu. The puppy had an eye infection, skin disease and a lot of ticks. One eye had to be removed because the infection was too serious. He is now at the center undergoing treatment and will need surgery as soon as he is strong enough.

Koala had a lot of lice on him. Lusan was removing them and massaged Koala.

After the massage, Koala fell asleep.

Dynamo with new mommy

Do you remember our previous introduction for Dynamo, a kitten who had
lost his ability to see? When he first arrived at our center, he
would do anything he could to hide in the corner when we tried to
feed him. Unfortunately, his upper respiratory tract ended up getting
infected as well, and everyone was very worried for him.

大家還記得不久前我們為您介紹過眼睛掉出來的Dynamo嗎？
還記得牠剛來到我們協會時
我們每天去看他或餵食時
他總是躲在角落
想盡辦法要離我們遠遠的
經歷了失去眼睛後
又一度嚴重的上呼吸道感染
大家都為了他捏了一把冷汗

We patiently took care of him, and fortunately, his situation
gradually improved and he began to accept us, even becoming playful
when we're around.

期間耐心的用針筒幫他餵食餵藥
他現在漸漸的康復當中
而這一段時間
他也漸漸的接受了我們
變成了一隻見人就撒嬌的貓咪

Fortune truly shined down on Dynamo: Miss Xiao came to visit one day
and fell in love with Dynamo, and then decided to adopt him,
Dynamo sleeps with his adoptor on her bed everynight.

時幸運之神眷顧了Dynamo
蕭小姐來到我們中心　
很喜歡也很心疼愛撒嬌的他
就決定將他領養帶回家, 現在Dynamo每天都跳上床去和新主人睡覺呢!!

Maggie's new home

Little Maggie is safely moved back in at her new foster home. At the moment, she is happily sitting in her doggie box on the balcony and taking her time getting to know the new family. She is clearly quite afraid but feels safe in her box. If it gets too cool, her new mommy will move her inside, but she doesn't want to distress her too much right now.

害羞的Maggie去寄養家庭囉！寄養家庭一家人都很有耐心的摸摸她

希望她可以很快的適應新家,然後一起出去散步喲　！

Susan at her new place 在志工家 ！

Susan 很安靜，適應狀況看起來不錯

咳嗽的情況在興奮的狀況下比較明顯，如和人玩、餵食時

藥昨晚和今早已餵了兩份，但是如果直接灑在生的雞骨上，他會想辦法抹掉

倒是用狗罐頭拌一下，很快就吃掉了

she is doing very well. She is still a little bit sick,
but she is playful and eating well !

Animals Taiwan

Sucie and Susan are still so playful.

Sucie was sick 2 weeks ago. The volunteer, 致睿, took her home giving her special care. Sucie is very happy at her home, and very playful. The disease doesn't seem to affect Sucie's health too much. That's the best news for you. ^ ^


Susan looked sick last week and we were very worried, thinking she was sick like Sucie. Luckily, Susan got better very soon, and the fungal infection was treated. We took Susan to the roof every day to let the sun treat her skin disease. She runs as fast as she can whenever she gets upstairs. We also give her treats for her teeth. She loves the treats.

Dynamo is getting better.

Dynamo was very, very sick for the last 2 weeks. He was not eating and didn't want to move. He was very dirty at that time, because he couldn't clean himself. Even the vet said we could just give him all the best care and wait.

After 2-weeks of special care, he was getting better and better. He is now very sweet and beautiful. You can tell how healthy he is by checking his photos.

橡皮筋貓Zero

橡皮筋貓Zero - 救援個案- 10月24

10/22 , 接獲通報在基隆看到一隻橡皮筋貓,因傷口腐爛,已經開始發臭.
帶了捕貓籠, 當天就誘捕到牠. (取名為Zero)
立即帶到 Dr. Lin 動手術,取出橡皮筋, 並綘合傷口.

並同時做好結紮手術,以利到時原地放回 ( CNR 計劃)

10/23 Zero的食欲不錯,會把整盤貓罐吃光光.

但是脖子上的傷口仍然紅腫著.

目前每天要吃藥, 2個星期後要回去拆線.
目前通報人陳小姐 負責照顧Zero , 直到14天後拆線,即可Return回去.
